Goals from La Liga this weekend: Real makes up ground on Barca
Published by Nabyl Charania on March 2, 2009
Not sure what is going on with Barcelona and Victor Valdez these days, but they went down 4-3 to Atletico Madrid this past weekend:
On the other hand, Real Madrid are taking advantage of Barcelona’s down turn in form and they took a 2-0 victory over Espanyol to cut Barca’s lead down to 4 points atop the La Liga standings.

Valdez seems to have lost the plot…at least the race is more exciting in La Liga now.

The Barcelona – Atletico game was the best game I’ve seen for a long time. I’d just sat through the Carling Cup final and been thoroughly depressed when this came on and it had everything. A magnificent game.

Scottish football doesnt have the same quality of television presenters as La Liga has anyway!
As said above, Real really do have the momentum and if Liverpool knock them out of the Champions League, they can put all their focus into winning the League. There are not too many people laughing at Juande Ramos now!
